You know I love using my air fryer for crispy frozen sweet potato fries and for making crispy batter-fried chicken for dishes like Dragon Chicken. But I also love using it instead of the oven or grill in the summer to grill things like corn on the cob. This is one of my favorite reasons to use the air fryer in the summer - your home will not heat up, unlike when you use your oven!
Why this recipe works
- Grilled corn on the cob in just 15 minutes!
- No heating up the home with your grill or oven anymore
- Tastes just like corn grilled on the barbeque
List of Ingredients
To make air fryer corn on the cob, you will need:
Step by step recipe
Start by cleaning the corn on the cob. Dehusk the corn ears and trim if needed. Preheat the Air Fryer at 400 F for 5 minutes, then place the ears of corn inside. You can use up to 4 ears of corn in a standard Air Fryer basket. I use an Instant Pot Vortex which can fit 4 ears of corn at one time. For best results, place the corn flat on the Air Fryer basket - don't stack them on top of each other. Continue to air fry the corn for 10 minutes.
As the corn is air frying, heat 1 tbsp of butter along with 1 tbs minced garlic in the microwave or on the stovetop. Once the garlic is fragrant, turn off the heat. Add a teaspoon of salt and mix. Keep aside.
Once the air frying cycle is complete, turn off the air fryer and take out the grilled corn. If you like it more charred, air fry for 5 minutes more.
Serve the Air Fryer corn on the cob on a plate. Pour the melted garlic - butter over the corn. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve fresh.
