    • Air Fryer Frozen Sweet Potato Fries

Air Fryer Frozen Sweet Potato fries are my favorite way to make crispy fries without having to deep fry them! And the best part is that there is no need to thaw them. The frozen sweet potato fries go straight from the freezer to the Air Fryer and you will have crispy fries in under 20 minutes……And the crunch on the fries is unbelievably good!

If you are looking for more easy Air Fryer recipe ideas, try making my quick and easy Air Fryer Baby Potatoes, frozen air fryer shrimp or my crispy herb-garlic smashed potatoes. To satisfy my Asian takeout cravings, I love making this Dragon chicken with my Air Fryer.

    Why this recipe works

    • Convenient to use - no thawing needed
    • Best for the summer - the air fryer doesn’t heat up the entire kitchen like the oven does.
    • As crispy as deep-fried sweet potato fries
    • No extra oil needed
    • Made in under 20 minutes

    Step by step recipe instructions

    • Preheat the Air Fryer at 390 F for 5 mins.
    • Open the pack of frozen sweet potato fries and transfer the fries to the Air Fryer basket/ rack.
    • Air fry at 390 F for about 15 minutes minutes. At the 7 minutes mark, take out the basket and shake so that the fries cook evenly.

Once the air frying cycle is complete, check to see if the fries are crisp. Thicker fries will need more time in the air fryer. Once the fries have crisped up, take them out and season as needed. Your Air fryer frozen sweet potato fries are now ready to be enjoyed!

Tips to Cook Crispy Frozen Sweet Potato Fries in the Air Frier

    • Cook your frozen sweet potato fries in small amounts, do not crowd the air fryer basket with fries, else they will release steam and become soggy. Air fry in batches if necessary.
    • Make sure to preheat your air fryer before you add the frozen sweet potato fries to the air fryer basket.
    • If your frozen fries are cut thicker, increase the air frying time and temperature.
    • Toss the fries midway into the air frying cycle (your air fryer might indicate when to Turn food) to ensure evenly crispy sweet potato fries. If your air fryer has a rotating function, then skip this step.
    • Add seasonings – For unseasoned frozen sweet potato fries, you can toss the air-fried fries in salt or add paprika, dried herbs garlic powder, or onion powder as per your preference.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Air Fry or Bake frozen fries?

Wondering whether to oven bake your frozen fries or Air Fry them? Definitely Air Fry! I have tried baking frozen fries in the oven and I find that air frying the frozen sweet potato fries are always so much better as they turn out super crisp and taste nearly as good as deep-fried. An added benefit for air-frying - the air fryer doesn’t heat up the entire kitchen like the oven does.

How long does it take to cook frozen sweet potato fries in an Air Fryer?

The air frying cycle will take around 15-20 minutes including the time taken to preheat the Air Fryer. Thicker fries will need more time, and thin-cut sweet potatoes will need lesser air frying time.
